Job summary

Citi is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help shape the future of finance. You will own end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade web applications, spanning Angular frontends and Java/Spring backends, with data layers in MongoDB/MSSQL, and a strong emphasis on AI-assisted coding and production-grade quality.

The role emphasizes rapid iteration, collaboration with global teams, and a mindset focused on reliability, security, and scalable architecture within the Banking Technology group.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, Java & Spring.
• Proven API-first design using REST and GraphQL.
• Experience building large-scale microservices architectures.
• Skilled in Agile/Scrum delivery and incremental releases.
• Familiar with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Kafka messaging experience is a plus.
• Understanding of spec-driven development desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise-grade web applications on microservices platform.
• End-to-end ownership from Angular frontend to Java/Spring Boot backend.
• Leverage AI coding tools.

We are a collaborative and well‑established team united by high engineering standards and renowned for continuous shipment of clean rigorously tested code to production multiple times a week - a pace we only anticipate accelerating with AI adoption. We are seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer to join Banking Technology team for Opus Capital Management strategic transformation.

You will design and deliver enterprise‑grade web application platforms, leveraging AI development tools (e.g. Copilot, Devin). This role demands end‑to‑end ownership, hands‑on technical delivery and ability to lead design discussion within small high‑autonomy squad.

The ideal candidate is AI‑first in mindset, quick learner and passionate for the quality and reliability of code deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build business requirements on microservices architecture platform used by senior bankers globally Full stack implementation from Angular frontend to Java/Spring Boot backend and MongoDB/MSSQL data layer
• Strong fundamentals in systems analysis, design patterns, SDLC including unit/integration test and CI/CD practices.
• Leverage AI coding agents for accelerated engineering
• Critically review, test requirements and own deliverables ensuring structural integrity, security compliance and production readiness.
• Strong communication skills with Product & Engineers in global squad on integrations
• Learn and apply Corporate Banking domain knowledge

Required Skills & Experience

• Significant hands‑on experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, Java & Spring framework
• Proven experience of API first solution - REST, GraphQL
• Experience designing & implementing large‑scale platforms using microservices architecture
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams & incremental frequent releases.
• Database design and queries in RDBMS & NoSQL - Highly desirable
• Messaging broker / Kafka experience - Highly desirable
• Spec driven development understanding - Desirable
