This role offers the opportunity to work across real estate finance and corporate banking, with significant exposure to major lenders as well as international clients. It presents an excellent career opportunity for someone keen to drive their career and work with established players in the market and to capitalise upon existing opportunities within the firm.

The successful candidate will be part of a well-respected team led by a renowned partner, known for their straightforward approach and strong industry relationships. They are open-minded about your exact level of experience and can consider lawyers from 3 years PQE up to Legal Director level.

As an established provider to the main retail banks, quality alternative lenders, and a strong raft of international banks that operate in the UK, you would get access to the full range of work they handle, much of which has significant values attached to them. Depending upon your level of experience, you would be able to take on and manage client relationships; they have plenty to share and are keen to do so. In our experience, this is relatively unusual and makes this an excellent opportunity for someone keen to advance their career significantly.

Whilst the team is busy, their highly collaborative environment helps with the peaks of the work, as does the practice's willingness to invest.

Responsibilities

Experience in banking law, real estate finance, or corporate banking, and eagerness to work on high-profile, panel-led work with scope for international interaction. Depending upon your level of experience, you would be able to take on and manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts as appropriate for experience. You would gain access to the full range of work handled by the firm and participate in international client engagement where applicable.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 3 years PQE up to Legal Director in banking law, real estate finance, or corporate banking
  • Experience working on substantial banking transactions, as part of a team or individually, and managing client relationships
  • Ability to work effectively within a national team and contribute to business development efforts (as appropriate for experience)
  • Flexibility to be based in Leeds, with potential to work from other offices in the UK
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to client engagement
  • An understanding of banking panels and experience in managing high-value banking transactions is desirable
Benefits and Working Arrangements

Joining this firm means becoming part of a vibrant, collegiate team with a significant national client base and international exposure. The firm offers competitive salaries, including a generous holiday allowance and a rewarding bonus that pays out year on year. The team offers hybrid working and operates on a very flexible approach. They work on a national basis, fostering a professional but relaxed and collaborative working environment.
