You'll be a newly qualified lawyer or have 1 year's experience and possess good general banking transactional experience. You'll pride yourself on your ability to work collaboratively to achieve results. You'll have an analytical mind and enjoy the intellectual challenge that this work presents. Your pragmatism and commercial outlook, together with excellent drafting and organisational skills, will be vital in supporting our clients.
You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and seek a role that allows you to further develop your knowledge, expertise, and reputation. You will be keen to work closely with a partner and actively develop client relationships to help grow our regional and national businesses. You will be excited by the opportunity to align yourself with the team's specialist practice areas (corporate finance, real estate finance, asset finance, and public finance) and/or one or more of our sector groups.
You will want to take responsibility for managing smaller matters independently and be a key member of the wider transactional team working on larger financings. You should be a personable team player, passionate about client service, and eager to participate in business development initiatives. We are seeking a talented lawyer to join our Leeds team as a New Qualified or 1-year PQE in Leeds. With a strong reputation in Chambers and an impressive FTSE 250 client list, this is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary banking practice with national and international reach. Based in Leeds, you will be part of our local practice and a member of our national banking team.
You will have the opportunity to work with high-profile clients on complex, high-value transactions, including international and domestic financings, re-financings, and restructurings. Your work may involve advising a lender on an investment property financing transaction with an overseas borrower group or working with a private equity investor on financing aspects of a corporate acquisition. Alternatively, you might assist a client with debt restructuring or advise a public sector body on a residential development project.
