About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banking & Finance Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a solid background in banking and finance law to work alongside senior solicitors on a wide range of complex financial transactions and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including general matter support and Practice Evolve filing.
- Handle Companies House Registrations.
- Assist with the preparation and drafting of legal documents such as loan agreements, security documents, and other transactional documents.
- Support lawyers on key projects and tasks.
- Draft, proofread, and amend legal agreements, advice notes, letters, and other documents.
- Conduct legal research and due diligence to support banking transactions, including loan agreements, corporate finance, and real estate finance.
- Manage and organize client files, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accurately filed.
- Assist with the transactional closing process from initial filing to closing.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Paralegal in a banking and finance legal environment, preferably within a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
- Strong understanding of English banking and finance law, including LMA (Loan Market Association) standards.
- Experience supporting complex bilateral and syndicated loan transactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
- LPC/SQE or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
