Barclays in Kendal is recruiting a Cleaning Operative to work in a secure banking environment. The role is part-time with a view to permanent employment, offering induction and training and weekly pay.

You will perform general office cleaning, washrooms, vacuuming, dusting and security procedures, including alarm systems and key holding. Pre-employment checks apply and successful candidates will be cleared to work in the banking sector.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work confidently as a lone worker.
• Comfortable acting as a key holder and operating alarm systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to use a telephone-based time and attendance system.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general office and banking environment cleaning duties.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing.
• Cleaning washrooms and staff welfare facilities.
• Emptying waste and recycling bins.
• Sanitising high-touch surfaces.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Following all health & safety procedures and site security protocols.
• Opening, securing and locking premises where required.
• Working independently within a secure environment.
