Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant - Bank at Fleet Hall Care Home in Fleet. You will assist the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering activities that support residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing, while promoting a safe, caring home environment.

This role requires empathy, effective communication and a positive attitude toward older people, including those with dementia.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding of how interaction supports residents' wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people and ability to provide stimulating activities.
• Experience with older people in a residential dementia setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering a range of activities to engage residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to the home’s positive image.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities as directed.
• Help establish links with local community groups to encourage intergenerational activity.
