Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Bank Urgent Care Practitioner with professional registration of NMC or HCPC.

The post holder will apply autonomous assessment, examination, and documentation and follow relevant clinical guidelines for the treatment of patients under the supervision and decision-making of senior clinicians.

The Urgent Care Practitioner will be expected to engage in Shift Lead duties on a regular basis, to ensure patients are cared for by the right person, in the right place at the right time.

You will seek clinical expertise regarding judgment, discretion, and decision-making in the provision of clinical care to adults and children presenting with undifferentiated diagnoses of minor injuries and illnesses within a UTC setting.

At all times to behave and act in a way appropriate to and in accordance with “The DCHS Way”.

Role and Requirements
  • Band 6 role (not a trainee urgent care practitioner; not Band 5).
  • Professional registration: NMC or HCPC.
