Job summary

HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a Bank Urgent Care Physician to join our GP-led Primary Care Team across private hospital settings in Central London. You will deliver clinical assessments and diagnoses for urgent care, including minor injuries and illnesses, with access to specialist referral pathways within the HCA group.

Role supports long day coverage across 8am–8pm (or 8am–10pm) at multiple sites; you can choose shifts to fit personal commitments.

Qualifications

• Current GMC registration and must be on the GP register.
• Good working knowledge of IT systems and cloud-based technology.
• Care and empathy with a passion for delivering a patient-centred service.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients at the Urgent Care Centre.
• Manage minor injuries and illnesses including triage and initial treatment.
• Review diagnostics (ECG reading, blood tests, X-ray interpretation) and arrange onward referrals as needed.
• Be part of a GP-led Primary Care Team delivering care across private hospital sites in Central London.
• Cover long day shifts, with units open 8am–8pm or 8am–10pm and flexible shift options.

Doctors with experience as an Urgent Care Physician are invited to join the Bank for ad-hoc shifts at HCA Healthcare UK’s private patient facilities across LondonRole: BANK Urgent Care PhysicianTown: Central LondonWe’re looking for BANK Urgent Care Physician to join our GP led Primary Care Team. Our specialist Urgent Care facilities are within our private hospital settings in Central LondonAs an Urgent Care Physician you’ll be given all the time and tools you need to deliver exceptional standards of care in a private patient environment that focuses on clinical excellence.This is a very rewarding role, as your patients have immediate direct access to specialist referral pathways with leading consultants in the HCA group. (Should they choose their referral pathway within HCA).Providing clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients presenting to the Urgent Care Centre, including minor injuries, and minor illnesses such as aches and pains, allergic reactions, back pain, bladder problems, ENT conditions, falls, fractures, sprains, strains and sport injuries, fever, infection and rashes, minor eye conditions, respiratory and chest complaints, stomach and bowel problems and wounds, cuts and grazes.You will also review simple diagnostics (ECG reading, blood test review and x-ray interpretation) and provide appropriate onward referrals for admission or outpatient specialists review.You will be part of a talented team that provides long day cover, 365 days.
