Job title: Nurse

Contract type: Bank

Shifts: Flexible days available Monday to Friday, between 09:00-20:00, with a minimum of 1 day per week.

Overtime: Depending on business needs, including weekend shifts.

JOB PURPOSE:

The postholder will undertake clinical duties related to travel healthcare, immunisations, and sexual screening, working to high standards to ensure patient safety and support team efficiency.

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support team to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Provide evidence-based, competent care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, audit, and evaluate nursing practices, sharing findings for team learning.
• Support training, clinical supervision, and staff development, mentoring as appropriate.
• Operate within standards such as CQC, NaTHNaC, PHE, or PHS.
• Assist in assessing clinical competencies per RCN guidelines.
• Mentor clinical staff within own competencies.
• Report and monitor incidents, near misses, and complaints per policies.
• Contribute to team meetings.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and support staff inductions, ensuring compliance with the Xmedicus system.
• Work flexibly across locations.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform duties appropriate to the role level.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential:

• Professional registration.
• DBS clearance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Mandatory and statutory training.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to travel independently.
• Ongoing professional development evidence.

Desirable:

• Experience in Sexual Health Screening.
• Mantoux/BCG experience.
• RCN competency level 5.
