Job description

Bank Theatre Radiographer

The role

At Ramsay Health Care UK, we know our people are our most important asset. Join us as a Radiographer where you'll be valued for your skills and expertise, as well as having the chance to build on them through our Ramsay Academy. We will give you access to the latest state-of-the-art equipment and technology too.

You will be part of a close-knit, innovative team delivering an exceptional diagnostic imaging service. At the heart of patient care, you'll build relationships with all the hospital's key departments and our consultants across many specialisms. Whilst providing exceptional clinical care, you'll also track, process and manage images in RIS and PACS. But at its heart, this role is about playing a key role in the treatment and care of your patients.

Where you'll be based

Fitzwilliam Hospital is one of Cambridgeshire's leading independent hospitals with a reputation for delivering high-quality healthcare treatments and services since 1983. The hospital is situated in the quiet landscaped grounds of the Milton Estate in Peterborough and has 54 single bedrooms and 1 twin-bedded room, all with en suite facilities. The hospital provides services for both private and NHS patients.

What you'll bring with you

  • Diploma or degree in diagnostic Radiography
  • HCPC registration and evidence of post-registration development
  • SOR IV cannulation certificate desirable
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Passion to deliver high-quality diagnostic services
  • Ability to participate in on-call rota and work evenings/weekends as required

What is a Bank contract:
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.

What we give back to you:

  • Competitive hourly rates plus enhancements
  • Free DBS
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Excellent training and development opportunities
  • Free parking and subsidised staff restaurant (subject to site facilities)
  • Free uniform
  • Access to Blue Light Card
