Job Purpose

This post involves working with people of all ages (Children and Young People, Adults, or Older People) experiencing a mental health crisis via telephone. The role often involves working with individuals in high distress. Tele-coaches will provide:

1. Complex mental state assessments
2. Complex clinical risk assessments
3. Complex clinical formulations
4. A range of recovery-focused interventions
5. Validation and de-escalation of crises
6. Distress tolerance and emotional regulation coaching techniques
7. Empowerment of persons in crisis, carers, and families to manage situations effectively
