Job summary

Southend Care is seeking a Bank Support Worker to provide care across our Supported Living and Extra Care schemes, helping tenants maintain independence and wellbeing in their own flats. You will perform personal care, household tasks, assist with meals and shopping, and help tenants access the community.

Training is provided to help you succeed in the role. Join a friendly, supportive team with a commitment to dignity and respect for tenants, and opportunities for development within the care

Qualifications

• Experience in care is desirable, but full training will be provided.
• Willingness to work across supported living and extra care schemes.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting tenants’ independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to tenants.
• Assist with daily living tasks (laundry, meals, shopping).
• Promote and administer prescribed medications.
• Support tenants with accessing community activities and transport.

About The Role

You will be joining a friendly supportive team, and whilst experience is desirable , even if you are new to care you will be provided with a full training to help you succeed in the role

The responsibilities of a Bank Support Worker include, not limited to:

• Personal Care and moving nda positioning
• General household duties including laundry
• Promoting, and administering medication
• Shopping
• Preparing and cooking meals
• Undertaking craft activities and games with tenants
• Supporting, and assisting tenants with accessing the community including shopping, leisure activities such as cinema trip
