As a Bank Support Worker and depending on needs, you will be expected to cover 7 homes in the Harrow area - Old Church Lane (Harrow), Sarah Ronson House (Harrow), Carlton Avenue (Kenton), Woodcock Dell (Kenton), Cardinal Avenue (Borehamwood), Highview Gardens (Edgware) and Somers Court (Edgware). Some homes provide residential services and others provide supported living services.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with learning disabilities and autism to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:
• Guiding and supporting individuals in their day-to-day activities.
• Encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Accompanying individuals to routine appointments.
• Teaching essential life skills like budgeting, shopping, and managing bills.
• Assisting with personal care and, if required, administering medication.
• Contributing to household tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
• Helping the people we support to be independent and live a fulfilling life
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
• Accompanying the people we support to routine appointments
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, shopping and paying bills
• Assisting with personal care and administrating medication (if required)
• Assisting with household tasks such as cleaning & cooking
• You must be able to commit to all 7 locations as required, so a car driver is essential
• Valid Moving and Positioning Certificate
• Experience of working with people with neurodevelopmental disabilities
• High-energy with a good level of physical fitness
• Desire to make a difference

We run mandatory 3-4-day induction training which will need to be fully completed prior to you starting in the role which you will be paid for, as per the hourly rate of £13. The induction would be a blend of online training as well as classroom based training at our Head Office in Stanmore and must be completed prior to shifts being offered.
