Job summary

Swanton Care and Community is recruiting Bank Support Workers for our Sunderland-area service. You will help individuals live independently, involve families, and support care planning.

The role requires empathy, teamwork and strong English communication; prior care experience is preferred and a Care Certificate or willingness to obtain it. We offer development opportunities and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• You will demonstrate level 2 English and be willing to work toward Care Certificate.
• You will have worked in a team for at least 2 years and can communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently and involve families.
• Act as a Key worker and promote collaborative teamwork.
• Record outcomes in care records and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide personal and intimate care as required.
• Medication management including ordering, storage and administration.
• Contribute to audits and quality reviews.
• Encourage engagement in activities and community.
• Attend at least six team meetings per year.
