Shifts

This is a bank contract, ideal if you lead a busy life and want to pick up shifts occasionally. We offer a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends.

Role Responsibilities

What will I be doing?

This role offers the opportunity to join an established team within a Learning Disability Service in Newcastle-under-Lyme. We support individuals to live meaningful, independent lives, empowering them with choice and control while respecting their dignity.

It's a hands-on role, supporting individuals with daily skills, personal care, social inclusion, and overall well-being.

Passionate about people, you will enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career as you gain experience and training to progress.

The Ideal Candidate

What skills and qualities do I need?

You should have Support Work experience, ideally within a Learning Disability setting. I.T. and Literacy skills are required. NVQ Level 2 would be desirable or a willingness to work towards it.

You will also be:

• Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
• Fully flexible in working hours — the service operates 24/7 all year round
• Patient and non-judgemental
• A great team player with lots of energy
• Ideally a driver to assist with transporting individuals (not essential)
• Able to perform physical tasks such as manual handling when needed
