Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

About the role

As a Support Worker you will work on a variety of duties, including:

  1. Promoting independence: Encouraging our service users to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills.
  2. Achieving goals: Help set, achieve and celebrate personal goals for each individual, ensuring they progress at their own pace.
  3. Encouraging socialisation: Working with colleagues to engage our service users in exciting activities and hobbies that promote involvement and personal growth.
  4. Providing personal care: Assisting with personal care needs, tailored to each individual’s requirements.
  5. Building relationships: Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with external specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.
