Job summary

Prime Life is seeking Night Support Workers to join its team at Vinegar House in Derbyshire. Roles include 8pm–8am shifts across a 7-day week, with full training provided and a focus on compassionate care for adults with mental health needs.

We offer competitive hourly rates (£12.96–£13.32), a funded DBS, a comprehensive holiday pay scheme and a Refer a Friend bonus of up to £250 per successful hire.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential; full training provided.
• Must be patient, understanding and respectful of residents' abilities.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them.
• Providing companionship whilst giving emotional and practical support.
• Assisting residents to participate in decisions relating to their daily living arrangements.
• Assisting residents with personal care and recreational activities.
• Assisting residents to retire for the evening and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep.
• Promoting resident independence in meal preparation or mealtimes.
• Working with other professionals to provide individualised care and development plans.

Prime Life are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Night Support Worker, on a full or part time basis. At present, we have several vacancies available and are keen to meet with candidates as soon as possible for interviews.

This role will be based at Vinegar House in Derbyshire. Vinegar House situated in Derby City is a 13-bed care home catering for adults under the age of 65 suffering from various aspects of mental health illness.

What we’re looking for in our Night Support Worker:

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Support worker or Care Assistant is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.
