Here at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, we are currently recruiting Bank Support Practitioners for our Todhill services in Stevenston. We support individuals with various needs, including ongoing Mental Health issues, Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Dementia.
We are looking for candidates who can regularly work evening, weekend, or night shifts. A UK Driving Licence for Manual Vehicles is required; access to your own car is not necessary.
This campus has recently undergone a multi-million pound development, providing 21 new homes designed to meet the needs and preferences of the residents and to fit within the surrounding natural environment. The site includes a Day Centre Service offering vocational and recreational activities such as horticulture, arts and crafts, and animal husbandry.
You will be part of a dedicated team supporting individuals with Autism and complex learning disabilities. Responsibilities include providing full or prompting support with personal care, assistance with cooking and household tasks, shopping, and attending appointments. Some individuals may have complex communication needs, and we utilize various communication tools to support them. Some individuals may experience anxiety or challenging behaviour, especially when trying to communicate.
No previous care experience is necessary. We welcome applicants with experience in similar settings or those seeking to develop their careers. Skills in supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or knowledge of borderline personality disorders are advantageous.
Successful applicants will receive a conditional offer, pending references and PVG checks. Having a conviction does not necessarily disqualify you. All new staff must register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting.
