Overview

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is recruiting Bank Support Practitioners for Todhill services in Stevenston. We support individuals with a variety of needs including ongoing mental health issues, autism, learning disabilities and dementia. We are seeking candidates who can regularly work evening, weekend or night shifts. Non-drivers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with Autism and associated complex learning disabilities with all aspects of daily living, including personal care (full support or prompting as needed).
  • Assist with cooking or prompting to cook meals, general household tasks, shopping, and attending appointments.
  • Use and adapt communication tools for individuals with communication needs; respond appropriately to anxiety or challenging behaviour, which can occur when someone is trying to communicate a need.
  • Work as part of a committed team to provide consistent, person-centred support in a multi-million pound campus development with 21 new homes and a Day Centre offering vocational activities (e.g., horticulture, arts and crafts, animal husbandry).
Qualifications
  • No care experience is necessary for these positions.
  • We welcome applicants with prior experience in similar services and those looking to develop their career with an organisation focused on outcomes for the people we support and for staff.
  • Skills or knowledge in autism, learning disabilities, or borderline personality disorders will be valued.
