Bank Sterile Services Technician - Weekends

We are inviting applications for the position of Bank Sterile Services Technician. This is an ad-hoc, bank position based at Ramsay Sterile Services East Midlands in Kettering, Northamptonshire. In April 2023, we opened a new Decontamination Hub in Kettering.

We are seeking experienced TSSU Drivers to join our busy team in this new development. The state-of-the-art unit provides efficient decontamination services to 9 Ramsay Hospital sites and operates 24/7. The successful candidate will work shifts over the weekend, including day or night shifts.

We offer flexible working hours, suitable for current Bank workers or those seeking additional hours. Please note that on a Bank contract, shift patterns are not guaranteed. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated.

Requirements include:

  • At least 2 years' experience in decontamination of reusable medical devices or completion of a recognized decontamination course (NVQ/TVQ/Technical Certificate)
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good computer skills (MS Office)
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Customer service skills
  • Willingness to work occasional night shifts upon gaining competence

Key responsibilities:

  1. Performing the full decontamination cycle on surgical instruments according to all policies and procedures
  2. Participating in quality control processes and ensuring accurate documentation
