Position
We are offering an opportunity for a Bank Staff Nurse specializing in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
What you will do:
Working under supervision and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, you will be accountable for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs for a defined caseload of patients, adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. You will ensure safe practices for yourself and others, working within your recognized scope of practice. Depending on competencies, you may perform this work in hospital and/or community settings.
You will work with the shift leader within the ward or department, guided by local and national protocols, procedures, and guidelines. You will make decisions based on best practice evidence and assist in monitoring the nursing team's work, supporting colleagues to provide safe and effective care.
Occasionally, you will supervise and advise junior registered and non-registered staff and may contribute to developing teaching and learning programs within the ward or department.
You will seek opportunities for further education and interest development to support and benefit the ward or department. You should have an understanding of various work procedures and practices, some of which are non-routine, requiring a solid theoretical knowledge, typically gained through formal training or equivalent experience.
