Job Description:

Schoen Clinic Newbridge House is an award-winning specialist Eating Disorder facility based in Streetly, Sutton Coldfield, providing inpatient and outpatient services to young people aged 8-18 years. Rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC in 2016 and 2018, and awarded Hospital Group of The Year and Nursing Practice winners in 2019 and 2020, our unit prides itself on excellent service provision. The successful candidate will work as part of a talented multidisciplinary team, providing compassionate clinical care to inpatients, following prescribed treatment plans, and engaging with patients and their families in care planning.

The role is suited for experienced Staff Nurses who are proficient in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care, including planning, assessment, and evaluation of nursing interventions. Responsibilities include establishing therapeutic relationships, contributing to assessments, managing therapeutic meal provision, and ensuring medication safety, all while maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding principles.

Shift times:

• Early - 7:00am-3:00pm
• Late - 1:00pm-9:00pm
• Nights - 8:00pm-8:00am

Principle Duties:

• Contribute to specialist assessment of eating disorders in young people
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients
• Assist in therapeutic group activities
• Maintain supportive relationships with carers and families
• Ensure confidentiality according to legislation and policy
• Operate within professional competency levels
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings
• Manage therapeutic meal provision and medication administration
• Follow safeguarding principles in all interactions
