Priory Hospital Cardiff is recruiting for Bank Staff Nurses to join our team.

About Priory Hospital Cardiff: Priory Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas.

The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced multi-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress.

As a Bank Staff Nurse, you will:

1. Work within a team that includes a range of professionals.
2. Provide high quality care within a locked, specialised mental health rehabilitation and recovery setting.
3. Supervise Healthcare Workers on your shift and encourage group work.
4. Administer medication to patients and monitor their mental health throughout the shift.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities

• Registered nurse with active NMC PIN
• Relevant clinical experience
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
• Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Day shifts – 07:30 to 19:45
• Night shifts – 19:30 to 07:45
