New Fosseway is a vibrant and inclusive special school based in South Bristol, supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs. We are looking to create a team of Bank Staff Learning Support Assistants to ensure we can continue to offer high-quality support when our permanent staff are unavailable.

This is a zero hours contract, offering flexible work opportunities to suit your availability while helping us maintain consistent and effective support for our pupils.

About the Role

As a Bank Staff LSA, you will:

Work with pupils aged 3–19 with a variety of additional needs, including autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and complex medical needs.

Support the teaching and learning in the classroom under the guidance of teaching staff and senior leaders.

Help maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment tailored to individual learning styles and care requirements.

Be called upon to work as and when needed—ideal for those seeking flexibility or looking to gain experience in special education.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.

Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.

Can work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions confidently.

Ideally has experience working in a special school setting (though training will be provided).
