Job summary

King’s College School, Wimbledon is seeking reliable catering staff to support its large department by covering sickness and busy periods. You will help deliver lunches to over 1,750 people daily during term time and assist at school functions in a modern, well-equipped environment.

Shifts are mainly term-time between 9am and 3pm, with some evening and weekend work possible. Full training is provided, uniforms and meals on duty offered.

Job description

We are seeing to appoint bank staff to work within King’s large catering department to help to cover staff sickness and absence, as well as peaks in business demands.

Working in a modern well-equipped environment this position assists the delivery of lunches to over 1750 people on a daily basis during term time and regular school functions throughout the term.

The majority of shifts are term-time only between the hours of 9am and 3pm, although some evening and weekend work is also available. Duties will include basic food preparation, serving pupils, clearing tables, washing up and general cleaning duties.

A basic level of working within the food industry is desirable however full training will be provided along with uniforms and meals on duty (subject to length of shift).

Would suit applicants who live locally to the school as shifts are often allocated at short notice.
