Job summary

Choice Care Group is seeking a Bank Social Care Worker at Abbeyfield Lodge in Fleet. Ad-hoc hours with in-house training, flexible positions to suit personal commitments.

You will provide personal care, medication administration, support daily activities, maintain records, and join in activities to help residents lead fulfilling lives. Benefits include refer a friend, Christmas bonus, prize draw, Blue Light Card, and access to Stream financial wellbeing app.

• Experience in social care is beneficial.
• Willingness to participate in in-house training.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including bathing, toileting, dressing and feeding assistance.
• Medication administration.
• Assisting residents with daily activities, hobbies, or outings.
• Following care plan guidance and company policies.
• Maintaining written daily records.
• Attending training as required.

Key duties

• Providing personal care - including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
• Medication administration
• Assisting and getting involved in residents' daily activities, hobbies or outings
• Following care plan guidance alongside Company policies and procedures
• Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents
• Maintaining written daily records
• Attending and completing training, as required

Where will you work?

Abbeyfield Lodge is a large, detached home near the centre of Fleet in Hampshire, registered to support up to 13 men and women of varying ages with mental health conditions and associated complex needs. The home offers a programme of individual and group activities, and has excellent links with local colleges and businesses offering work placements. Regular monthly residents’ meetings provide a forum to discuss service provision and encourage feedback. Fleet town centre is a short walk away, and there’s easy access to public transport, plus the home also has two vehicles for local travel, recreational and educational visits and activities like swimming and bowling.
