Job summary

Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital is seeking a Bank Senior Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) to join our theatres team. You will scrub across cases with ophthalmology or orthopaedics, be registered with the appropriate governing body, and bring several years post-registration scrub experience to a multidisciplinary team.

Flexible, with weekday availability, you will supervise juniors and contribute to high-quality patient care using state-of-the-art facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC).
• Several years post-registration scrub experience.
• Experience scrubbing for ophthalmology or orthopaedics.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise, support and develop junior staff.
• Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence-based.
• Interact well with ward colleagues to ensure continuity of patient care.

As a Bank Senior Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) at Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital, you’ll be registered with the appropriate governing body. You have the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. You will have several years post-registration experience scrubbing for various cases, with experience scrubbing for ophthalmology or orthopaedics. Ideally you will have experience working in a Band 6 (NHS Scotland) role within a Theatre environment. You will be flexible, have excellent communication skills and be a great team worker.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (Scrub), you will:

• Enjoy a varied caseload with state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
• Supervise, support and develop junior members of staff
