Job summary

Cygnet at Thornfield Grange in Bishop Auckland seeks experienced Bank Registered Mental Health (RMN) and Bank Learning Disability Nurses (RNLD) with a current UK PIN to deliver high-quality care at a specialist residential service for adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.

You will contribute to care planning, document nursing assessments, administer medicines, and work with the management team to audit and improve quality, with ongoing CPD and clinical supervision.

Qualifications

• Experienced RMN/RNLD with a current UK PIN.
• Able to maintain documentation and undertake audits.
• Familiar with care planning under NMC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Work with management to develop the service, audit, and improve quality.
• Attend training and CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
• Ensure care plans are complete and maintained with residents, relatives and professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines following Healthcare procedure and guidelines.

We are looking for experienced Bank Registered Mental Health (RMN)/ Bank Learning Disability Nurses (RNLD) with a current UK PIN number and, a passion for delivering outstanding care.

Thornfield Grange is a specialist residential service with nursing for adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. Based in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, Thornfield Grange supports individuals who have behaviours that may challenge, as well as those who have significant difficulties with social engagement.

Your Day-to-Day...

• Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
• Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
• Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines

You are...

• Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
• Experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number
• Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits
• Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
• Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
• Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
• Helping to empower & support service user independence.
