Job description

We are currently recruiting for a number of Bank / Relief Recovery Support Workers to join our services in Brixton, where you will have responsibility for providing high quality support services in line with SIG Penrose's Mission, Values and Strategy. As Relief Bank Recovery Worker, you will contribute to successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our Residents and Participants back into the community. Providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve more safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders.

ABOUT THE SERVICE

HerStory House is a specialist high support female residential service for women with complex needs who have offended, commissioned jointly by HM Prison & Probation Service and NHS England & NHS Improvement, as part of the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway for high-risk women likely to satisfy the diagnosis of personality disorder. Its residents aim for eventual independent community living.

KEY CRITERIA

Essential:

  • IT proficiency, basic Microsoft skills, ability to learn new software
  • Experience working with individuals from complex backgrounds, including criminal justice, mental health, or substance misuse sectors, or sector knowledge
  • Understanding of housing and social needs of individuals with complex needs
  • Ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes

Desirable:

  • Qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice or equivalent
  • Experience in housing support, practical assistance, co-produced support plans, and interprofessional liaising
