Job summary

Brainkind is seeking a Bank Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our Garforth team. You will support individuals with acquired brain injuries, helping them regain independence through guided activities, personal care, and daily living skills.

No prior care experience is required as we provide full induction and specialist training. You will work as part of a caring team in Daniel Yorath House, contributing to person-centred plans and helping residents move forward on their rehabilitation

Qualifications

• No prior care or support experience required; full induction and specialist training provided.
• Working in brain injury rehabilitation is different from other support roles; you’ll be guided and coached.

Responsibilities

Bank Rehabilitation Support Worker

Salary: £13.71 per hour with a £1 enhancement on weekends & bank holidays

Working in brain injury rehabilitation is different to other kinds of support work. You’re there to encourage and guide individuals, helping them gain the skills and confidence to live independently.

You will share the journey with these inspiring people as they overcome hurdles, achieve milestones, and reach the goals they’ve set. Many of the people we support only stay for three months before they are ready to move on. You can make a massive difference in that time.

The Role

Daniel Yorath House specialises in the assessment andrehabilitationof people with an acquired brain injury and complex needs such as cognitive, physical and/or emotional difficulties, including physical and verbal aggression, impaired social functioning and disinhibited behaviour. Personal Care is a requirement for the People we support.
