Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Ward on a bank basis. The role covers long days and night shifts across days, nights, and weekends, at Cambridge location.

You will provide high‑quality patient care in a modern clinical environment with orthopaedic emphasis, ante/postoperative care, and support to the ward team. A state registration and acute‑care experience are essential.

Formación

• Must be a Registered Nurse with state registration.
• Experience of working in an acute hospital environment.
• Surgical background is essential with competence in post-operative care.
• Orthopaedic ward experience is strongly preferred.

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to join our highly skilled, friendly and welcoming ward team on the bank.

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital offers a modern, well-equipped clinical environment designed to support high-quality patient care. The hospital features 44 private en-suite patient rooms, providing a comfortable and private setting for recovery, alongside Six operating theatres, including three laminar flow orthopaedic theatres theatres for orthopaedic procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

• You will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet the individuals’ health and wellbeing needs.
• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
• Promote best practice in health and safety and security.

Who we're looking for

• You will be a Registered Nurse.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Experience of working in an acute environment
• Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration.
• A surgical background is essential and to be competent in dealing with post op patients
• Candidates' with orthopaedic ward experience are strongly preferred.
