What does the role involve?

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Lead the care team to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
• Maintain effective verbal and written communication, including accurate reports on residents and informing the senior care team of daily changes.
• Ensure care procedures are carried out according to policy.
• Manage the ordering, administration, and recording of medicines following policy and statutory requirements.
• Provide personal care for residents, such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Offer physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort.
• Supervise staff and conduct appraisals within the team/assigned unit.
• Implement routine or procedural changes as agreed with the Manager.
• Assess prospective clients/residents.
• Complete the duty rota as needed.
• Conduct internal quality audits as agreed with the Manager.
• Participate in staff training and development at all levels.
• Assist the Manager with budget management, mainly in Deputy Manager responsibilities.
