Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking motivated nurses for bank positions across Powys. You will provide evidenced-based nursing care, work within a multidisciplinary team, and participate in ongoing training and development.
Roles are across rural hospital sites with flexible working patterns and the possibility to travel between locations. Onboarding includes mandatory training; Welsh language skills are welcome and training provided if needed.
SPONSORSHIP/VISA: Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office's criteria as this is a Bank position only.
Please note our hospitals are in very rural locations and public transport can be very limited. This may affect you being able to get to the location sites. You will also need to be able to attend the mandatory training as part of the onboarding process.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, forward thinking and patient‑centred individuals to join our excellent nursing team as a bank worker. We are looking for nurses that are able to work well as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, are caring and kind and who wish to develop their clinical and leadership skills. We have bank roles to offer across Powys and you will need to be able to travel to the hospital locations.
We are a motivated team committed to the care of our patients and deliver a high standard of care we can be proud of, for patients from across Powys. We look forward to hearing from nurses that have an interest in palliative care alongside rehabilitation and general medical care.
The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced‑based nursing care, working collaboratively and co‑operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participating in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers; but even if you don't speak any Welsh, or want to develop your skills, don't worry: the health board will support you with training.
Being the smallest Health Board in Wales means that you won't get lost in the crowd. Everybody at Powys Teaching Health Board is valued for the contribution they make to our varied and diverse portfolio of community‑based services. Together, we can continue to make a real difference to our patients and build on our unrivalled reputation.
As a supportive and progressive employer, we actively encourage you to carve out a career with us, through a range of development pathways. We're also lucky enough to be situated in one of the most beautiful rural counties in Britain, let alone Wales! Achieving a healthy 'life work' balance is essential, and something we recognise by prioritising your well‑being.
