About the Role

Cragston Court is a 20-bedded residential rehabilitation and recovery unit caring for adults over 18 with enduring mental health needs. The service users are typically referred from psychiatric wards, community settings following re-admissions, or placements where sustained recovery has not been achieved.

Main Duties

1. Provide practical support and responsive care to service users in their rehabilitation and recovery, ensuring compliance with procedures and healthcare legislation.
2. Observe and monitor residents' wellbeing, promptly referring any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences to senior staff or the primary nurse, and documenting appropriately.
3. Deliver specific interventions delegated by a Registered Nurse, following training and competency attainment. These include observation, engagement, escorting to appointments, and involvement in de-escalation and managing violence and aggression.
4. Contribute to a team approach to residential care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
5. Participate in regular team meetings and other relevant meetings as required.
