We are looking for a Bank Recovery Nurse/Practitioner to join our team. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient's treatment is of the highest standard.

Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.

You will be working as part of a friendly, welcoming and expert multidisciplinary Theatre Team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager.

It goes without saying privacy and confidentiality are key throughout the team and you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient" care in the perioperative phase.

What you'll be doing
To provide safe and effective clinical care, working closely with all disciplines, to ensure the promotion of high standards for patients during all aspects of the preoperative, peri- operative and postoperative pathway. Following appropriate training across a variety of
specialities patients will be appropriately monitored and cared for prior to and throughout their surgery ensuring patients are fit and discharged from the unit appropriately. The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with direct supervision and will be expected to demonstrate procedures and supervise unqualified staff. To work as a member of the multi disciplinary team practising and maintaining a high standard of clinical care and participating in all activities of the department to enhance the patients experience and ensuring safety for patients, visitors and staff in the
operating theatre suite

What we'll look for in you

You will be a part 1 registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a theatre practitioner in a theatre, or a HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner. As well as being up to date with current research and developments in theatre practise you will have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care having regard for the differing needs of sedation and recovery.
