A healthcare organization in Manchester is seeking a compassionate Banks Receptionist to provide a professional reception service. You will be the first point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. The position is a bank contract with a salary of £12.47 per hour, including flexible working patterns. Interested candidates must apply before 22/08/2025.
We're looking to recruit a sensitive and empathetic Banks Receptionist to play a fundamental role in delivering a professional reception service to all our patients, staff and visitors.
Contract: Bank
Salary: Band 2,£12.47 p/h
Working Pattern: Provide absence cover between Monday-Friday, as and when required/available
Working hours are 4.5 hour shifts, from 08:00-12:30 or 12:30-17:00. You may be requested to start at any time between 08:00-17:00.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Standard/Enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. Any post holder within the organisation will be expected to undertake safeguarding training appropriate to their role and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures. All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty 2015.

You will need to demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, and be committed to supporting the smooth and welcoming operation of the hospice.
Provide a courteous, professional and caring first impression of St Ann's Hospice.
Meet and greet patients and visitors into the hospice and deal with enquiries in an efficient, polite and courteous manner providing a caring, considerate service to everyone.
Answer telephone queries and take messages where appropriate, transfer calls and direct visitors to the correct location.

Bank staff are entitled to 5.6 weeks holiday per year, including bank holidays. Entitlement is calculated on a pro rata basis depending on the number of hours worked
