Job description

We're looking to recruit a sensitive and empathetic Banks Receptionist to play a fundamental role indelivering a professional reception service to all our patients, staff andvisitors.

Contract: Bank

Salary: Band 2,£12.47p/h

WorkingPattern: Provide absence cover between Monday-Friday, as and when required/available

Working hours are 4.5 hour shifts, from 08:00-12:30 or 12:30-17:00. You may be requestedto start at any time between 08:00-17:00.

Based at: Heald Green

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit acompassionate and professional individual to join our team as a receptionist.In this customer facing role, you will be the first point of contact forpatients, visitors, and staff, so a warm and empathetic manner is essential.You will need to demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills,and be committed to supporting the smooth and welcoming operation of thehospice.

Providea courteous, professional and caring first impression of St Ann's Hospice.

Meetand greet patients and visitors into the hospice and deal with enquiries in anefficient, polite and courteous manner providing a caring, considerate serviceto everyone.

Answertelephone queries and take messages where appropriate, transfer calls anddirect visitors to the correct location.

The Receptionist will:

  • Providea professional first impression of the hospice
  • Work closely with the nursing team announcing patient arrivals
  • Communicate with all departments regarding visitor arrivals
  • Safeguard patient and visitor confidentiality at all times includingadherence to Data Protect Act following GDPR
  • Provide information on services and retail products
  • Ensure goodknowledge of the hospice and be able to answer queries or questions as required
  • Assistother departments as required, work permitting
  • Completeall required training
  • Providean excellent level of customer service
  • Ensurethe Reception area is free from clutter

Qualifications
  • A general level of education to GCSE or equivalent
