Job summary

The Montefiore Hospital in Hove is seeking a General Radiographer to work in the Imaging Department on a staffing bank basis to cover busy periods, sickness and annual leave. You will assess imaging needs, perform specialised scans and contribute to audits and IRMER quality assurance.

You must hold HCPC registration with no restrictions and have experience in theatre, X-ray and fluoroscopy; CT experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Degree in radiography required.
• Current HCPC registration with no restriction on practice.
• Experience in theatre, X-ray and fluoroscopy.
• Good understanding of IRMER regulation.
• Nice to have CT experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality radiographic service adapting to new technologies.
• Make informed judgements on imaging required for each patient.
• Provide highly skilled and specialised imaging for patients.
• Work as part of a team with nurses, physiotherapists and consultants.
• Take part in audit, hospital-wide focus groups and IRMER QA programmes.

Job description

A bank General Radiographer post in the Imaging Department at The Montefiore Hospital, part of Spire Healthcare, filled through the staffing bank to cover busy periods, sickness and annual leave. The work centres on judging which imaging a patient needs, then delivering specialised scans, and taking part in audit and IRMER quality assurance. Shifts run 08:00 to 20:00 on weekdays, with close working alongside nurses, physiotherapists and consultants. Applicants need current HCPC registration with no restriction on practice and a sound understanding of IRMER.
