The Role:

Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a very varied caseload - within the department, on the ward and in theatre.

Working with leading practitioners and experiencing new practices, equipment and facilities.

Supervising and developing more junior staff members.

Providing a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

The Person:

To succeed as a Radiographer, you will have:

High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.

A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.

A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Radiation Protection Supervisor training and/ or qualification are desirable.

Post registration experience relevant to the role.

Excellent communication and team working abilities.

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital.

The Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is recognised for their friendly atmosphere, clinical expertise, and high standards of care and is based near to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
