Job summary

A leading support services organization in Whitehaven is seeking a Bank Project Worker to provide essential support to customers with disabilities. The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

1. Providing support to encourage our customers with a range of disabilities to maximise their own potential and independence
2. Offering one-to-one support as required
3. Promoting safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers’ needs
4. Regularly assessing the needs of customers, writing, and updating support plans
5. Developing professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy and dignity is maintained
6. Delivery of small group activities to promote recovery and well-being

Skills and experiences:

1. Previous experience of working with adults with disabilities or high needs
2. The ability to relate and empathise with people with disabilities
3. Ability to work effectively in highly pressured situations
4. Experience with developing and maintaining accurate records and support plans
5. Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications
6. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards is desirable
