A leading charity organization in Lancaster is looking for reliable staff to assist in supported accommodation services for young people. Candidates must have skills in working with vulnerable individuals, enjoy challenges, and promote independent living. The role involves flexible shifts throughout the week to cover staff needs, emphasizing a culture of inclusivity and support.
We wish to recruit a bank of “as and when” staff to assist us in delivering high-quality services to young people 365 days per year in our supported accommodation services.
Barnardo's provides supported accommodation to young people aged 16-24 across multiple sites in Lancashire. The services aim to equip young people with skills, knowledge, and confidence for independent living. The residents come from diverse backgrounds and are often in the process of Leaving Care or have experienced homelessness.
This service offers 7 units of short-term accommodation-based housing and support to vulnerable young people aged 16-25 who cannot live independently. It operates 24/7.
Mariners View consists of 11 one-bedroom flats with visiting support from staff.
In addition, Moving On manages 3 shared houses in Lancaster and Preston for young people aged 18-25, with visiting support from Barnardo's staff.
We seek to add reliable, high-quality workers to our existing bank to support these services. We often need additional staff cover for vacancies or illness and aim to identify suitable individuals for this vital role.
Successful candidates will participate in a rota covering 7 days a week and 365 days a year, with shifts including:
