We’re looking for a Principal Psychologist to join our bank team in Manchester.

This is an exciting time to join the HCA team as we build this new service line and expand.

An opportunity to join the Psychology & Wellbeing Team at The Christie Private Care, a joint venture between HCA and The NHS at The Christie Hospital in Manchester, a Consultant Psychologist led service.

This role suits a Practitioner Psychologist with experience in physical health settings/medical teams, ideally with Oncology & Palliative Care experience. An interest in collaborative work to promote psychologically informed practice is essential. The role offers career development opportunities, including leading projects, pathway development, and consultancy.

What You’ll Do

• Provide a highly specialist psychology service to oncology and palliative care patients, including assessments, treatments, and consultations with non-psychologist colleagues.
• Be accountable for your professional practice, working autonomously within guidelines, and contribute to service development and quality improvement, including data collection.
• Utilize research skills for audits, policy, and service development within oncology and palliative care teams.
