We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in Thameside, London.

HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison with a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare services include dentists, primary care, mental health, substance abuse, and pharmacy.

Hours

7 days a week, 0700 - 1900 and 1900 - 0700

Salary

This is a bank position. You will receive an hourly rate of £25.14.

Main duties of the job
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, respond to emergencies, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
  • Deliver nurse-led clinics with support from a multi-disciplinary team
  • Provide evidence-based, personalized care, listening to and acting on patient feedback
  • Deliver non-judgmental care that makes a real difference
  • Build strong links with partners and stakeholders
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, and continuous quality improvement
  • Share knowledge and expertise to ensure safe care within multidisciplinary teams
