We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Pentonville, a category B Prison located in London.

HMP Pentonville is a male prison that has a capacity for 1200 inmates, it is a remand prison for inmates awaiting trial. Well situated in London and is 10 minutes from Kings Cross station.

Hours

Weekdays, weekends and nights varying from 7.30-4pm, 7.30-8pm and nights 8pm-8am. Weekends are the same. Must be able to commit to all mixture of shifts.

Salary

£25.14 weekdays

£27.14 for weekends

Main duties of the job

As a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
  • Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams.
