Are you a current Mental Health or Learning Disabilities student nurse?
We are recruiting to the Temporary Staffing Service. Existing students can join the bank as a HCA within TEWV. The Trust's Temporary Staffing Service helps meet the needs of our service users.
This vacancy is only open to current Mental Health or Learning Disability Student Nurses who are on or have recently been on placement within our services.
Student nurses must be on placement within the Trust or have recently completed a placement, with a reference from your TEWV practice placement mentor(s). Ensure the placement is listed on your application and your mentor is one of your referees (covering the past 3 years).
Include the month and year of your student cohort, expected qualification completion year, and last training update. Missing this info may lead to rejection.
Main duties
Supporting nursing teams in inpatient services, promoting recovery, working directly with patients within a wider MDT, demonstrating empathy, patience, and flexibility.

This is a unique opportunity for current students within TEWV to gain experience in Forensic, Learning Disability, and Mental Health Services Trust-wide. Support nursing staff, promote client independence, and meet service needs.
Mandatory training within the first 8 weeks includes about 8 days of training, with 5 days in Positive and Safe Care. Applicants must commit to this training.
Bank workers are not regular employees; hours are not transferable to placements, and bank work cannot be in your current placement location.
