Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a self-motivated Porter/Driver to join the Bank Portering team at Lorn & Islands Hospital in Oban. The role involves moving and handling, driving hospital vehicles, interacting with staff and patients, mortuary duties, and some cleaning duties.

A full driving licence and the ability to work across a rotational schedule are essential. Eligible applicants should be prepared for weekend, early morning and late-evening shifts with enhanced rates paid for unsocial hours.

PORTER/DRIVER

HOURS: BANK (AS REQUIRED)

BAND 2: £25,694 - £27,900

We are looking for a self-motivated person with good communication skills to join the Bank Portering team at Lorn & Islands Hospital in Oban. Regular duties include moving and handling, driving vehicles, interacting with staff and patients, mortuary duties, and some cleaning duties. A good level of physical fitness is required.

A full driving licence is essential and applicants must consent to enhanced criminal record disclosure.

This position is worked on a rotational basis which includes weekends, early mornings and late evenings. Enhanced rates are paid during unsociable hours.
