Bank Physiotherapy Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) – Retire/Terminate & Return

Position

Opportunities have arisen for Bank Physiotherapy Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) Band 3 & 4 within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Please note: You will only be considered for this post if you are in the same role in your substantive post and are leaving the Physiotherapy Department within NHS Ayrshire & Arran. You will be appointed on the bank on the same band as your current substantive post if you are in a Physiotherapy HCSW role.

You should apply for this post within 1 month prior to your termination date. If you have already terminated your post, we will only consider your application if your termination date was within the last month of your applying.

What you will do:

You will work as part of the multidisciplinary and physiotherapy teams carrying out a range of activities, clinical care tasks, and other duties as delegated by and in support of a registered Physiotherapist. Support and supervision are provided by the registered Physiotherapist.

In partnership with the registered Physiotherapist, the HCSW will review patient documentation and competently perform the necessary aspects of clinical and non-clinical duties within their scope of clinical practice. They will ensure delivery of care to a high standard, recording their activity in line with local and national standards of documentation. Progress and activity will be reported back to the registered Physiotherapist.

Depending on the activity and the team, this work will take place within a hospital, clinic, or community setting.
