Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the delivery of pharmaceutical care across the hospital.
• Supporting the safe handling, storage, movement, and management of medicines.
• Assisting with stock control and stock management activities.
• Updating and maintaining pharmacy records and electronic systems.
• Supporting the Pharmacy Team to ensure medicines are supplied accurately and efficiently.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and patients as part of routine daily activities.
• Assisting with the maintenance and development of pharmacy services.
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and service excellence.
• Supporting compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, infection prevention, and security.

As part of our Pharmacy team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the safe, efficient, and effective supply of medicines across the hospital, helping us deliver an outstanding experience for patients and clinicians alike, as a Pharmacy Assistant, you will support the Pharmacy Team in delivering a high-quality service to patients and hospital departments, ensuring medicines are managed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
