Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Nurse who is looking for flexible hours to fit around other commitments. It could be the perfect role for someone who has recently retired but would like to continue making a difference. We are looking for someone who can be flexible to support our children's services across both the North East and North West.

Essential Criteria:

  • Active NMC PIN
  • Car driver with access to a vehicle

What will you be doing? You will take a lead role in delivering high-quality clinical training and competency assessments to ensure KEYFORT continues to deliver safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led support. You'll support community-based nursing care packages for children with complex and long-term health needs, including but not limited to:

  • Acquired/traumatic brain injury
  • Neurological conditions
  • Spinal injury
  • Palliative care
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation support
  • PEG feeding
  • Catheter care

You will be responsible for ongoing training and competency reviews, ensuring colleagues are confident, skilled, and working in line with agreed support plans.
