About The Role

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a Bank Nurse to join our award-winning team Marula Lodge. Marula Lodge provides high quality services to up to 42 residents across 4 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated GOOD with CQC.

What do you need?

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin (RMN desirable)
  • Experience working with adults that present with complex needs including challenging behaviours and mental health needs (desirable)
  • Ability to work alone as well as a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families
  • A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

What hours will you work?

  • Day shifts: 07.45 to 20.15 (11.5-hour shift)
  • Night shifts: 20.15 to 07.45 (11.5-hour shift)

What will you be doing?

  • Assessing, planning and evaluating care needs or the provision of care
  • Participate in clinical meetings as required and report areas of concerns to managers
  • Oversee care provided by Health Care Assistants on shift to ensure that relevant documentation is maintained in a comprehensive manner

Due to our training programme, we would require all Bank employees to attend a 5-day induction prior to starting employment. This induction will be paid for and takes place Monday to Friday 09.30 to 16.30. If you are working another full-time role, please take this into account when applying to the position as this induction is mandatory.

About Us

Cornerstone Healthcareprovide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.

Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.

We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, & Mytchett with 2 new services set to open in Bristol and Birmingham in 2025.
